Abisko Adventure trousers have comfortable 4-way stretch throughout the trousers. The legs and back consist of an extra durable fabric with Rip-stop. The fabric has a soft inside that is comfortable against the skin. Equipped with these attributes, including our nylon stretch and reinforcements of Nylon Oxford, the trousers are perfect for hiking in dense terrain as well as on the mountain. High-stress seams are double-needle stitched for extra strength. The fabric is treated with an ecological impregnation that makes it water repellent. Ventilation zippers in the sides can be opened to release excess heat and increase airflow during higher activity. The waistband can be tightened with burdocks and is higher at the back so the pants always stay in place during movement. The knees are pre-bent which gives increased flexibility and the leg ends are reinforced with PU-coated Nylon Oxford which protects against wetness and terrain. These are flexible lightweight trousers that are equipped with a boot hook to keep the trousers in place. They have four zipped pockets for safe storage. The crotch has a gore for extra comfort.
The trousers have a built-in RECCO® reflector. RECCO® is a rescue technique used by organized rescue teams to more quickly locate people lost in the wild or buried in an avalanche. The reflector can be described as a small antenna that is built into the trousers and is therefore always with you. It is not powered by batteries and does not need to be activated; it is always running. The rescue team uses a RECCO® detector that sends out a signal. When the signal hits the reflector it bounces back and the reflector can be located. With an integrated RECCO® reflector, you can feel safe during outdoor activities, for example picking mushrooms and berries or hiking on unknown ground.
These trousers suit the adventurer who wants to invest a little extra in their outdoor clothing and feel safe out in nature.
NOTE roomy fit. The trousers consist of a very elastic fabric, so if you prefer a tight fit, choose a size smaller than you normally wear.
