This is a hard-shell jacket made from innovative renewable 100% biobased polyamides extracted from plant-based oils and food waste, leaving a significant smaller footprint in the production process, e.g., 3x less greenhouse gas emissions compared to normal polyamides. Fully PFC free water repellent treatment in combination with electrospun membrane creates a long-life partner in the outdoors with a superior soft hand feel, great breathability and waterproofness.
This is a jacket for passionate outdoor loving people who are environmentally conscious and value function, comfort and quality, to use for all hikes and everyday adventures in changing weather. The jacket has been developed using high quality fabrics and zippers to last for many years to come. This is a unique product made from a completely new material created in close collaboration with the fabric supplier. During development, the focus was on creating an extra environmentally sustainable garment in waterproof fabric with high breathability.
The advantages of this premium product are many. It is a waterproof shell jacket with taped seams and high breathability which is perfect for hiking, trekking or other activities with a higher activity level. It is light in weight and therefore excellent to pack in the backpack. As it is designed for high activity, the fabric and its mechanical stretch provide good comfort during all kinds of movements, while the construction of the jacket provides an exceptional fit. The raised pockets and dual chest pockets are all easily accessible even when wearing a hiking backpack with waist belt. The jacket also has an arm pocket with a zipper. Long ventilation zipper openings under the arms keep you comfortable during the most strenuous hiking activities and weather changes. The jacket has an adjustable hood with a built-in brim that protects against rain, and YKK Aquaguard® zippers that are water repellent, which means that water does not get in that way either. The bottom can be adjusted with a drawstring and the cuffs with burdocks for a tighter fit and to keep wetness and moisture out. The bottom and hood have built-in Cohaesive™ stops that nicely hide the drawstrings.
It also has an integrated RECCO® reflector in case of extreme weather or should an accident occur during your adventure. RECCO® is a rescue technique used by organized rescue teams to locate people lost in the wilderness or buried in an avalanche. The reflector can be described as a small antenna that is built into the jacket and is thus always with you. It is not powered by batteries and does not need to be activated; it is always active. When operating, the rescue team uses a RECCO® detector that sends out a signal. When it hits the reflector, the signal bounces back and the reflector can be located. With a built-in RECCO® reflector, you can feel safer during outdoor activities, e.g., when picking mushrooms and berries or when hiking on unknown ground.
