Some recipes just belong outdoors. Langos, a Hungarian street food favorite, turns into something extraordinary when fried over a flame and topped with your forest favorites.
All it takes is ready-made pizza dough, some oil, a camping stove and your choice of toppings. Alexandra from @thenordicbears shows you how to turn a quiet day in the woods into a five-star snack moment.
Ingredients:
- Ready-made Pizza dough
- Frying oil
Suggested Toppings: (feel free to choose your own)
- Skagen mix (shrimp+mayo)
- Shrimp
- Red onion
-Chives
- Caviar or vegan seaweed caviar
You'll need:
- Camping stove
- Pot
- Tongs (Preferably wooden)
How to make it:
1. Heat the oil in the pot over your camping stove
2. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces
3. Use the tong to gently lower each piece into the oil
4. Fry until golden brown
5. Top with your favorites and enjoy on the spot
Pro tip: Bring the oil in a sealed bottle. Once it's cooled, pour it back in and strain it at home to use again.
