Together towards a more sustainable outdoor industry.

We are proud of this milestone, but we also see it as the beginning of a longer journey. By combining innovation, responsibility, and passion for nature, we aim to continue creating sustainable solutions for both people and the planet.

As part of our long-term sustainability journey, Pinewood has taken an important step forward. By joining the SME Climate Hub, we have made an official climate commitment – to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, reach net zero by 2050, and report our progress annually.

At Pinewood, we aim to be a positive force in the outdoor and textile industry. With our new climate commitment, we are strengthening our efforts to reduce environmental impact and ensure a sustainable future for our company and our customers.

– “This initiative is fully in line with the EU Green Deal, our customers’ expectations, and our ambition to be a responsible player in the outdoor and textile industry,” says Isabel Turesson, Sustainability Manager at Pinewood. “Having an owner who shares the commitment to sustainability is of great value and a key factor in our continued success.”

For many years, Pinewood has worked actively with sustainability. As a member of the Scandinavian Outdoor Group (SOG), we stand behind their Climate Commitment, which encourages companies to reduce emissions in line with the Paris Agreement and the 1.5-degree target.

Concrete steps already taken:
- A new car policy replacing fossil-fuel vehicles with plug-in hybrids and fully electric alternatives.
- Investment in 32 charging stations at our headquarters to support the transition.
- Installation of solar panels on our headquarters and warehouse back in 2021.

For us, sustainability is not just a project, it is a cornerstone of our business and a natural part of our journey forward.
