The Abisko Trekking 3L is a 3-layer jacket featuring a highly breathable membrane. It's designed to be windproof and waterproof, with taped seams and water repellent zippers to shield you from rain and rough weather. It's equipped with side ventilation zippers that can be opened to increase airflow, ensuring comfort during high levels of activity. The jacket includes large front pockets strategically positioned to remain accessible even when wearing a backpack with shoulder straps. The high-positioned pockets are also easily accessible when the backpack's waist belt is in use. It also boasts two chest pockets and an inner pocket where you can securely store items like your phone, keys, or other valuables. All pockets feature zippers for added security.
The cuffs and the jacket's bottom can be adjusted using drawstrings and hook-and-loop fasteners to keep out moisture and cold. The hood has a reinforced brim to protect against rain and is also adjustable with drawstrings. Notably, the hood contains an integrated RECCO® reflector, which is a rescue technology used by organized search and rescue teams to locate individuals who are lost in nature or buried in avalanches. This reflector acts like an antenna, powered without batteries and requiring no activation. When used, rescue teams send out a signal with a RECCO® detector. When this signal hits the reflector, it bounces back, allowing the team to locate the reflector's position. With an integrated RECCO® reflector, you can feel safer during outdoor activities.
